Dateline: Manitowoc, WI, May 31 The partially obscured Inn on Maritime Bay. Although they're listed as being pet-friendly, what we didn't know was that they have a limited number of rooms where you can keep l'il Killer, and they were all gone. So we kept RoadPuppy in the van - although we redefined "van" to encompass the third floor of the hotel.

Dateline: Manitowoc, WI, May 31 Gone native: cheese soup served in a bread bowl and Chardonney. The rest of the meal was unreal - it was awful. Worst meal of the trip! Who knew a lakeside restaurant could pertpetrate such offenses against a fish? |

Dateline: Manitowoc, WI, June 1 A chunk of history splatted down in Manitowoc. My understanding was the chunk still lived in Manitowoc, but they GAVE IT BACK TO THE RUSSIANS! What were they THINKING!??!? Needless to say we didn't bother going to see the replica chunk. Hmph!
